An ORS solution is primarily given to kids when they suffer from diarrheal episodes but is also quite beneficial for adults during rehydration.

An ORS solution mainly contains glucose, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, sodium citrate, and water in optimum concentrations and is available in liquid and powder forms.

Can You Consume ORS on an Empty Stomach?

Yes, ORS can be consumed on empty stomach but it is always advised to have some food before consuming it directly to prevent instances of nausea and vomiting.

Additionally, ORS is meant to consume only when you are dehydrated or are having a medical condition like diarrhea. You must not have it every day for a very long period of time.

Also, make sure you do not consume it in excessive quantities. The amount of ORS you should consume depends upon many factors like your age, gender, medical history, diet, etc.
